Jonathan Stewart:

Simplicity isn't static.

Jonathan Stewart:

Yesterday, I spoke about redefining simplicity about how simplicity

Jonathan Stewart:

isn't about less or more.

Jonathan Stewart:

It's about finding enough in the context you're in.

Jonathan Stewart:

A lot of the work I do for clients is about bringing more

Jonathan Stewart:

simplicity into their business.

Jonathan Stewart:

It's about finding solutions that reduce the overwhelm, but what

Jonathan Stewart:

happens when the overwhelm is gone?

Jonathan Stewart:

And you're left with something that no longer suits the

Jonathan Stewart:

environment that you're in.

Jonathan Stewart:

For example, you can purchase a template and it will reduce overwhelm

Jonathan Stewart:

if it is a good template for a time.

Jonathan Stewart:

But once you get used to the template and the environment changes and

Jonathan Stewart:

you're looking for a little bit more.

Jonathan Stewart:

You'll no longer feeling that overwhelm of oh my gosh there's too many things to do.

Jonathan Stewart:

It becomes over-simplified.

Jonathan Stewart:

There is less nuance or context that you can use.

Jonathan Stewart:

Your system never needs to be done because it assumes that there is an endpoint.

Jonathan Stewart:

Simplicity.

Jonathan Stewart:

Isn't static.

Jonathan Stewart:

Now that doesn't mean you have to rebuild everything once a month, but

Jonathan Stewart:

it's important to make sure that the way that you work and what tools you're

Jonathan Stewart:

using are always fitting your needs.

Jonathan Stewart:

Simplicity, isn't static.

Jonathan Stewart:

It's ever evolving and changing, and it's important to pay attention

Jonathan Stewart:

to how you exist within the system and what needs to change to help

Jonathan Stewart:

fit you where you're at now.

Jonathan Stewart:

We are bombarded by hundreds of things every day, telling us how to behave

Jonathan Stewart:

and we're told to stick to just one single way of working all the time,

Jonathan Stewart:

even when it's no longer serving this.

Jonathan Stewart:

This can range from everything from the tech we use to the offers we're providing.

Jonathan Stewart:

All of them based on something we were told to do.

Jonathan Stewart:

Instead of spinning in the spot, hoping to get out of the mud of all

Jonathan Stewart:

the things that you built in the past.

Jonathan Stewart:

Start from you.

Jonathan Stewart:

Don't wanna go it alone?

Everyone talks about Simplicity as the WAY to do things. If you do less things, you think about less things, and therefore you can use your time more effectively. But doing less things doesn’t always feel like an option, and sometimes it doesn’t need to be an option.

Simplicity isn’t the thing you need to do first, it’s the result of knowing how you work.

You can have multiple projects and still plan other things you’re excited about!!

I help over-thinkers like you actually do shit without making you feel bad about all your projects and ideas.

I run a business, whilst running 6 D&D campaigns, looking after two disabled children (with my partner who works full time), and I’m always wanting to do more.
